Nehrim Sound and Graphics Mods

When I started working on this, the guides for Oblivion targeted at graphics were either general guides that mentioned graphics, or really outdated. While this guide is focused on Nehrim, it can be used with Oblivion perfectly fine (excluding things made specifically for Nehrim), though I'd suggest also taking a look at Knot's Guide for some great alternatives that can only be used in Oblivion. This guide also doesn't mention gameplay mods, but for a good list of mods that either work with or are made for Nehrim, head over to the Nehrim and Mods thread on the Bethesda Softworks forums.

Everything here can be installed however you choose, but you'll need Wrye Bash to make All Natural run 100% correctly. You should also be using the 4GB Patch with your game (simple as installing and using it on oblivion.exe). If you're following this guide step-by-step, remember to overwrite when asked. If not then just pick and choose what you want to play with.

Last important note, when you're done modding the game remember to actually play it for a while.

Interface
  1. Xerus' Book and Scroll Background, Evandar's Scroll if you want one without a roller (none of the scrolls in game have a roller, so it seemed odd that there was one in the menu)
  2. my HUD, if you don't use the replacement menu the textures still work fine

Sound
  1. HawkleyFox's Advanced Music and Control, provided you can make it work. Requires OBSE.
  2. MigTheGreat's Symphony of Violence (minus esp)
  3. IlmrynAkios's Sound Overhaul 2.0 and 2.1, Footfalls. Regarding the overhaul, I delete the music and Sound\FX\ui\ui_status_skillup.wav; when it comes to footfalls only install following folders in sound\fx\fst: grass, grassland, stone, water, waterland.
  4. triratna homaredou's Better Quality Magic SFX, I prefer the older version restoration cast sound in the Mysticism and Restoration file (the mysticism file in there is the same).
  5. Tashin's Oblivion Symphonic Variations Music Suite

  1. Great list but why do all links in Nexus jump to the game selection

  2. Nexus changed their address format at some point in the last 8 years (I forget when), just replace everything prior to the mod number with "http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/" minus quotation marks.
